Seamless steel pipe for low temperature is suitable for pipeline engineering in low temperature environment. The production process of cryogenic steel pipe mainly has two kinds of processes: cold drawing and hot rolling.

Low-temperature steel pipes are medium-carbon structural steels. They have good cold and hot working properties as well as low-temperature performance, and their mechanical properties are relatively good. Moreover, they are low in price and widely available, thus enjoying extensive application. However, their major drawback is the low hardenability, making them unsuitable for large cross-section and high-precision parts.
